We make every effort to keep our fees low for all patients. Sending bills increases our costs, therefore we request that payment for office visits be made at the time of service.

Co-Pays and Accepted Payment Methods

All co-pays will be collected at time of service. For co-pays and all other out of pocket costs, we accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards.

We also currently offer CareCredit to our patients who are considering cosmetic procedures such as cataract surgery, botox and LASIK. CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that is designed for your health and wellness needs which allows you to make monthly payments toward your purchase of the cosmetic procedures. Please click here for more information, or contact our billing department by calling 410-535-2270 to inquire about our specific CareCredit offers.

Refraction Fee Notice for Patients

Effective March 1, 2023

There are two parts to your eye examination, which are billed separately.

  • The first charge includes the fee for the doctor to evaluate the health of your eyes. This charge is billable to your insurance company, and also to Medicare.
  • The second (vision) portion of your exam is called a “refraction,” which is a test performed to determine the best corrective lenses to be prescribed for each eye.

Although a refraction is a very important vision test, it is considered a non-medical procedure. Medicare and most insurance plans do not pay for this service, the fee of which is now $65.00, effective March 1, 2023.

We request that payment for this service be made at the time of your visit. Thank you.
